Behind every Harvey Homestead kitten is a whole lot of personality, a carefully considered pedigree, and more cat hair than we would like to admit. Our cats come from exceptional European-line pedigrees and are health tested as part of our commitment to raising beautiful, healthy, well-loved Maine Coons.
Each of our queens and sires brings something special to our program—from unforgettable color and lineage to the affectionate, playful, larger-than-life personalities that make Maine Coons so easy to love. Meet the cats behind the fluff!
Boris Russkiy Shpion “Boris”
Blue Smoke | Original Sire | Forever the OG
Boris is the one who started it all—the original sire of our program, Kailee’s soul animal, and undoubtedly one of the most memorable cats to ever grace the homestead. His mother came to the United States directly from Russia, bringing an incredible European lineage that Boris passed on to his beautiful kittens.
Boris is equal parts mischievous and affectionate. He has never met an open door he did not want to investigate, especially if a toddler happened to be the one opening it. He loved playing with the Dobermans, and the Dobermans were always happy to return the favor by bothering him right back. Beneath all that ornery charm, though, Boris was the very best snuggler.
His full name, Boris Russkiy Shpion, translates to “Boris the Russian Spy.” With his intense stare, permanently grumpy expression, and habit of quietly plotting his next escape through an open door, the name could not have fit him better. He always looked like he was working undercover on a very important mission—but in reality, he was the sweetest, most affectionate boy and truly the best.
In spring 2026, Boris slipped outside through a door left open by a toddler and went missing. He is deeply loved and missed every day, and Kailee continues to hold hope that they may be reunited someday. His legacy lives on through his kittens—especially his daughter, Blue—and he will always be the heart of our program.
Harvey’s Nika “Nika”
Tortoiseshell | Queen
Nika is a gorgeous tortoiseshell queen with a sweet, snuggly, and wonderfully laid-back personality. Her colorful coat and beautiful markings make her a standout, and we expect her kittens to be just as stunning and full of personality.
At home, Nika has decided that Ridley—our second-born son—is her baby. She loves claiming the top of the couch behind him, where she carefully licks and grooms his hair as though she is personally responsible for raising him. She is affectionate, gentle, and clearly takes her role as feline mother, couch supervisor, and household stylist very seriously.
Harvey’s Dixie “Dixie”
Blue Smoke & White Bi-Color | Queen
Dixie is sweet, maternal, laid-back, and an absolutely wonderful mama. She has a calm, loving presence, but do not let her composed personality fool you—she still enjoys playing like a kitten, getting the zoomies, and joining in on the fun with her babies.
She is the kind of queen who makes motherhood look easy. Dixie is attentive, gentle, and devoted to her kittens, and we love watching her raise happy, confident little fluffballs. Her striking blue smoke and white bi-color coat is just as beautiful as her easygoing personality.
Borisova Blue “Blue”
Blue Smoke | Future Queen
Blue is Boris’s daughter and the last of his offspring, so she holds a very special place in our hearts. Named in honor of her dad, she is being kept to carry Boris’s beloved bloodline into the future.
Born in late spring 2026, Blue is still young and finding her confidence. At the moment, she is the shyest member of our Maine Coon crew, but with five kids, plenty of daily activity, and lots of patient love, she is learning that people are pretty great. We look forward to watching her grow into the sweet, confident queen she is meant to become—while keeping a little piece of Boris with us along the way.
Yamura of Norman Los*Ru/WC “Sasha”
Retired Queen | Forever Part of Our Story
Sasha is now retired from breeding and living her best life with a wonderful new family, but she will always be an important part of the Harvey Homestead Maine Coon story. Her kittens are featured on our Past Litters page, and we wanted her legacy to remain part of our program.
Sasha was a wonderfully sweet, easygoing girl and an exceptional mother. She loved snuggling—especially with Boris and our tiny NICU baby at the time, who was somehow smaller than she was. Letting her go was bittersweet, but knowing she is cherished in her new home makes us so happy.
